Frequently Asked Question for Surrogates at KindEOS Surrogacy

Why should I become a surrogate with KindEOS?

KindEOS has brought together the minds of expert care team members, clinical staff, and surrogacy professionals to make your journey exciting and memorable. We promise to guide you, provide education throughout your journey, and stand by your side as you help make your intended parents' dreams come true!

What is the compensation for a KindEOS surrogate?

Surrogate compensation is bundled and presented differently by nearly every surrogacy program and it can be tricky as an applicant to compare and consider apples to apples. As an easy reference, our base compensation for surrogates is $55,000+ with additional benefits specific to your journey.

Do I need to live near a Kindbody location to become a surrogate?

You do not have to live near our locations, and most surrogacy journeys are carried out close to your home and family. Please keep in mind, there are certain states that are deemed high risk for surrogacy that has limited our recruitment.

How long does the surrogacy process take?

We ask that surrogates be able to make a 15-18 month commitment to KindEOS. Surrogacy is an involved process with medical and legal considerations including careful screening, a matching process, and the pregnancy. No two journeys are the same, so this time frame can vary.

Why are there specific requirements to become a surrogate?

KindEOS abides by the guidelines set by the American Society for Reproductive Medicine (ASRM) and the fertility centers with whom we work. We go above and beyond their guidelines to ensure a safe journey for you, your family, and the intended parents.

Do I need to have insurance to become a surrogate?

To become a surrogate, you need to be able to procure insurance from work or through an ACA policy. If you do not currently have medical insurance, we are happy to consider you and point you in the right direction of how to start the process.

How will I be matched with intended parents?

We devote our time and energy into gaining a 360 degree understanding of both you and the intended parents because making the right match is paramount. At KindEOS, we evaluate your preferences and present you with the best possible match, but only you can finalize the match.

How can I streamline the screening process?

At KindEOS, we set you up with all the tools you need to have a smooth journey. For those who are eager and ready for the next steps, we recommend: you contact your OBGYN to obtain a clearance letter and an updated pap smear if needed, complete the provider contact list to its fullest capacity so we may obtain your medical records, confirm your blackout dates, and complete the application in full in a timely manner.

Will KindEOS send me a 1099?

We do not send surrogates 1099 forms, but keep in mind that surrogate compensation is considered taxable income.
