Frequently Asked Question for Egg Donors at Nest Donor Bank

Is egg donation safe?

Yes. Complications from egg donation are exceedingly rare and the hormones you take during the cycle only function on your ovaries.

Does the egg donation process hurt?

Common side effects experienced during the cycle include bloating, discomfort, and minor fatigue – it's similar to having bad PMS symptoms.

Will donating my eggs affect my future fertility?

No! Just like birth control pills don’t prolong your fertility, an egg retrieval will not take away from your fertility. We’re retrieving eggs that would have died off normally.

How much can I be compensated for my egg donation?

Qualified egg donors will be compensated between $10,000 - $20,000 per cycle. Donors are also not responsible for paying any out-of-pocket costs associated with their cycle.

Why should I donate through NEST?

Our goal at NEST is to make this process as easy and seamless as possible for you. We recognize the immense selflessness required to become an egg donor and we will be with you every step of the way. From our welcoming waiting rooms with snacks and sparkling water, to your quick and conveniently scheduled appointments, to your dedicated care team throughout the process – we’re here for you.
